"Sometimes people get inked to symbolize a moment or idea. Denver Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony hits H&H and gets put through his paces when Jerome inks a one-of-a-kind on his back. A couple gets tattoos to promote a mystical sound that even Twig & Dizzle can't resist making and an ex-serviceman gets a cover-up of a tat that represents an experience that left his wife in shock."

"When a young athlete in a wheelchair comes into the shop for a tattoo, the artists are intrigued by the sport he plays. But can Dizzle cut it working with the same hardcore artists that taught Clark? Meanwhile, back in Vegas Jerome gets the opportunity to make an even more permanent inscription than a tattoo when a regular client asks him to engrave a memorial tattoo on his mother's gravestone."

Quinn, the receptionist, is running amok and the shop's manager, Monica, can't take it anymore. Rumors start to surface that Quinn is getting the axe. But before Monica has the chance to do the deed she gets into a car accident and must be absent from the shop. Enter Thomas...and Quinn's boyfriend. It's a testosterone fueled turn of events that gets uncomfortably ugly.

Some people are so grateful for the opportunity to start over or get a second chance that they want to memorialize their gratitude with a tattoo. A young guy who is starting over after a life-altering run in with the law, a woman marking the end of a difficult divorce, and a client who has kicked a life threatening habit and is moving on all stop by H&H for tattoos.

Paying respects can be more than remembering the deceased. Clients include a father who turns to Twig to help him further prove his love for his young child, a lady who gets a tattoo to honor the pet that saved her mother from a serial killer, and a dad who pays homage to the courage of his disabled son.
Tonight at 9:00pm - "Crossing the Line ”
at 9:30am ET - Tat and Rap
He calls himself J. Dizzle, says it's his "rap" name. Only thing, he's never even recorded a rhyme. So until he does, the guys at H&H are going to call him by his given name--Josh. Enter Carey...who agrees to give Josh a shot at getting his name back and sets him up with Big B, Carey's assistant who just happens to be an internationally known hip-hop star. Big B also happens to be a very big man, who has little patience for people with a sloppy work ethic and no talent. Can "J. Dizzle" beat the rap or will Big B have to beat it out of him? Meanwhile, Joey starts apprenticing Jenn but the brakes get put on when Carey finds out the new guy is schooling the new girl without his permission.

Clark does a portrait for Scott to memorialize his late fiancé Dana and Lacey tats Steve, a Cher impersonator who gets a crystal on his forearm.

Jeph from emo-core band "The Used" gets a unicorn tattoo by artist Josh while Monica gets a bird tattoo from Matt Victor. Karsten & Courtney get tattoos to symbolize important people in their lives and Liz gets a ribbon to mark her organ transplant experience.
First, at 9PM/8C, "Mud, Sweat & Tears"
Katie, the receptionist has got a bit of a crush on Dizzle. But she's not sure how to express her feelings for him. So Katie decides that the best way to win his heart is to pin him down, literally. It starts with a flirty dare and talk of who would whip who in the mud pit at Gilley's. But then things really get serious when a pro-wrestler rolls into the shop for a tattoo and Katie and Dizzle end up getting down and dirty.

INKEDblog: What makes a tattoo sexy? Carey: I think what makes a tattoo sexy is the placement, and how that tattoo represents that person. Does it look right on them or does it match their personality.. I love big tattoo on women. Full sleeves are very sexy, but it has to suit them.. My tattoo might not look good on my wife but the right ones and its all over with! INKEDblog: Why do you think people are drawn to getting tattoos? Carey: I think it's about self expression and about being an individual. It is what sets us apart.. It's the feeling of being a rebel of a bad boy.. It could be small, but everyone that has a tattoo has the feeling of getting it. The fact that its gonna be there for the rest of their life is a turn on. Carey: Man, I have seen sooo many horrible tattoos. Not only through owning the shop, but just in general through my travels and motocross career. I cant think of one specific bad tattoo, but most of the tattoos that were done " at home" because it was "cheaper" are on top of that list. I guess you get what you pay for.. My favorite tattoo is probably some of Mike Ness from Social Distortion. He is what made me want to get heavily tattooed. Not his tattoos specific, but the image and lifestyle that it represented to me as a kid. I also like a lot of shawn palmer's (pro snowboarder) tattoos. But there's a hitch and Dizzle and ends up having a religious experience that he never expected. Meanwhile, homesick Joey Hamilton gets a visit from his son.

Carey announces at a morning meeting that business is booming and H&H is busting at the seams. So two new employees are coming aboard to help offset the workload. INKEDblog: What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of getting their first tattoo?
Carey: My advice is to definately research everything related to tattooing. Procedures, healing time, how to take care of it. And of course the design and artist. Make sure that it's what you want, how big you want, and where on your body you want it. One thing I have leaned the hard way is that you get what you pay for. I have got some great deals on tattoos that are no longer on my body.. You don't want to look at tattooing like you;re going to the swap meet and are bartering down the price of a knife set!! You get what you pay for..

INKEDblog: What makes a tattoo sexy?
Carey: I think what makes a tattoo sexy is the placement, and how that tattoo represents that person. Does it look right on them or does it match their personality.. I love big tattoo on women. Full sleeves are very sexy, but it has to suit them.. My tattoo might not look good on my wife but the right ones and its all over with!
INKEDblog: Why do you think people are drawn to getting tattoos?
Carey: I think it's about self expression and about being an individual. It is what sets us apart.. It's the feeling of being a rebel of a bad boy.. It could be small, but everyone that has a tattoo has the feeling of getting it. The fact that its gonna be there for the rest of their life is a turn on. And no matter if you have a tattoo that took 20 minutes, or 20 hours, people can relate and have a conversation..
INKEDblog: On what part of the body is your favorite place for a tattoo?
Carey: It just depends on the person. For me right now, I want to tattoo my neck really bad. But I think its best that I hold off for a little while. I think for a woman who doesn't have many tattoos, on the thigh is very cool. Any where that is unique and fits well with the tattoo..

INKEDblog: Describe your favorite tattoo of all time. Where did you see it? What was it of?
Carey: Man, I have seen sooo many horrible tattoos. Not only through owning the shop, but just in general through my travels and motocross career. I cant think of one specific bad tattoo, but most of the tattoos that were done " at home" because it was "cheaper" are on top of that list. I guess you get what you pay for..
My favorite tattoo is probably some of Mike Ness from Social Distortion. He is what made me want to get heavily tattooed. Not his tattoos specific, but the image and lifestyle that it represented to me as a kid. I also like a lot of shawn palmer's (pro snowboarder) tattoos. He has a lot of cadillac tattoos, and has cow boy boots tattooed on his legs. Real cowboy boots!

INKEDblog: Tell us the story behind your first tattoo. What was the tattoo of? Why did you get it? How old were you?
Carey: "My first tattoo, like most people, was pretty bad. It was a skull with flames behind it and it had my race number 111 incorporated into it.. I got it the day after my 18th birthday, so I was young and excited.. Since then I have covered it up, only because I was workin' on a full chest piece and didn't want to do my whole chest skulls!!"
On Monday, May 15th at 9PM, 8C, A&E will air the special Tattoo Fixation. One in eight Americans now has a tattoo, and there are now 15,000 tattoo parlors now in operation. Tattoo FIxation is a one-hour special that looks at the rise of the tattoo culture and the celebrities like Christina Aguilera and Rob Zombie who have fueled the fad.
